The Husson University women's volleyball game scheduled at Newman Gymnasium on September 9, 2009 at 7:00 pm against U. Maine Farmington will now be played AT U. Maine Farmington.  Newman Gymnasium floor is being refinished and will not be completed in time to host the match. 

"The excitement surrounding volleyball is obvious as the team and coaches are proud to move to center court and begin a new chapter for Husson Volleyball. New assistant coach Amanda Armstrong, new scoreboards and a strong out of conference schedule are all positive steps towards program growth!" states Director of Athletics Cindy Connelley. 

The Eagles made back to back trips to the NAC final in 2007 and 2008.  Senior Marion Kish (Wallingford, CT) and sophomore Kaitlyn McKay (Lincoln, RI) return to the line-up, both were named 1^st Team All-NAC in 2008.  Kish led the team with 7.06 assist per game while McKay led the team in kills with 2.56 per game. 

Husson will open their season Friday, September 4 at the Hartwick Invitational against Plattsburg State at 4:00 pm and Hartwick at 8:00 pm.  The Eagles will christen the new floor against U. Maine Machias on Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30 pm.
