Husson Flies Past Johnson State and Lyndon State

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. - Husson University women's volleyball earned two victories at Saturday's quad-match against Johnson State and Lyndon State. With the wins, the Eagles improve to 4-1 in North Atlantic Confernece Play.
In the first Eagle match of the day, Husson rolled past Johnson State by scores of 25-8, 25-5 and 25-13. Hannah Olstad and Kaitlyn Mckay (So., Lincoln, RI) had six kills each for the Eagles and Olstad collected a game-high six services aces. Michelle Smith (Fy., New Boston, NH) amassed 13 digs for Husson and Marion Kish (Sr., Wallingford, CT) had 12 assists. Beth Lilligreen had two kills for the Badgers and Kelly Dorohow had nine digs.
In the nightcap, the Eagles defeated Lyndon State by scores of 25-14, 25-14 and 25-17. McKay and Smith had nine kills each for Husson while Kish chipped in 20 assists and three aces. Rachel Voicechovski (So., Jefferson, NJ) added three service aces and seven digs for the winners. Kayla Brobst collected six kills and two aces for the Hornets.
Husson University returns to action at home in the Newman Gymnasium against Colby on Tuesday, October 6. Gametime is set for 7:00 PM.
