Eagles Look to Build on Strong Returning Group
The Eagles swim program will look to build on a very successful season with all 17 student athletes eligible to return in 2009-10. This years squad was the biggest in schools history with 17 student athletes.

Swim Team Offers Area Youths Lessons
Head Coach Jeff Wren and the womens swim program conducted swimming lessons for area youth this spring. Coach Wren developed the program and ran it for over 25 years while at the University of Maine and began the program at Husson this spring.

Eagles Swim at New Englands
Husson took six swimmers to the NEISDA championships Feb 20-22 at UMass, Dartmouth. Kaitlyn Theriault and Erin Doucette qualified for individual events and Anna Marceau, Nicole Nadeau, Kelly Bernier and Renee Dufrense-Dixon attended so that Husson could be represented in all five relays.

Theriault Wins Two Events
Kaitlyn Theriault (SO, Glen Allen, VA) won the 200 (2:13.78) and 500 (6:04.26) free in a dual meet at Saint Joseph College. The Eagles fall short to the Monks 170-84. Nicole Nadeau won the 200 breaststroke (3:11.77) for the Eagles.

Eagles Fall to Smith 146-99
The Eagles fell to Smith College 146-99 in a dual meet on Saturday. Kaitlyn Teriault (So, Glen Allen, VA) won the 100 Fly with a time of 1:11:12 and Kasie Roberts (So, Brewer, ME) took home first place in the 500 Free with a time of 6:44:59.

Eagles Top Wheelock
Erin Doucette helped establish a new school record in the 200 Medley Relay in a swim meet Saturday with Saint Joseph College and Wheelock. She won the 200 Free and 50 Free while finishing 2nd in the 100 IM. The Eagles beat Wheelock College and lost to Saint Josephs College

Eagles Finish 5th in Conference Swim Meet
The Eagles finished 5th in the GNAC Championships, scoring 33 points. Simmons College Swimming & Diving was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Champion of 2008. The win, Simmons fifth in a row, and seventh in eight years, capped the two-day meet. More than 100 athletes from the conferences seven teams gathered at the Simmons College Holmes Sports and Fitness Center to race for the championship title.

UNE Swim Past Eagles
BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England swim team upped its record to 3-0 with a 170-35 victory over Husson University on Saturday afternoon at the Campus Center.

Veteran Coach Jeff Wren to Lead Swimming Program
The women's swim program will enter their fourth year of competition with a new coach. Jeff Wren has been named head women's swim coach.
