Colby Squeaks By Husson 1-0 in Overtime

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Kate Pistel (Amherst, Mass.) scored the biggest goal of her young collegiate career on a breakaway in overtime to lead the Colby College women's soccer team to a 1-0 non-conference victory over Husson University on Tuesday.  With the loss, Husson falls to 12-6 on the season.

Pistel scored at 93:04 after taking a pass from All-NESCAC defender Su-Lin Del Guercio. Pistel broke in alone on goal and calmly pushed the ball past Husson goalkeeper Jen Plourde (Howland, Maine) as she came out hard to cut off the angle.

Colby improves to 5-6-1 overall heading into Saturday's game at Connecticut College at 11 a.m. Meanwhile, Husson drops to 12-5 overall and will play host to University of Maine at Farmington on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Loni Pisani had her fourth shutout of the season for Colby with eight stops. Plourde was credited with nine saves.
