Women’s Basketball Welcomes Three Maine Recruits

Bangor, ME – The Husson women's basketball team is proud to announce the addition of Kelsie Richards (Nokomis High School), Kylie Richards (Nokomis High School), and Samantha Bruce (CMCC/Madison Area Memorial High School).

Kelsie Richard averaged 8.8 points during her senior year, while averaging 2.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.5 steals per game.

Kylie Richards averaged 6.9 points per game in her senior year, while averaging 2.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.6 steals. Kylie was named KVAC All-Defense Team in 2014 as well as KVAC Honorable Mention Team.

The Richards twins helped lead Nokomis to an undefeated regular season and a Class B Championship Semifinal appearance.




   Samantha Bruce
   Central Maine Community College
   Madison Area High School



Samantha Bruce played in 31 games for Central Community College last season. She averaged 10.4 points per game, 3.0 rebounds per game and a 42.6 field goal percentage and a 73.9 free throw percentage.

As a high school senior at Madison Area Memorial High School Samantha was named the 2013 MVC Player of the Year, a 2013 Maine McDonald's Senior All-Star, 2013 Kennebec Journal / Morning Sentinel 2nd Team All-Star, a MBR Preseason All-Star and a 2013 MVC 1st Team All-Star. She helped lead Madison to 2013 Western Maine Class C Championship game.
