Bradford Named MWBCA Player of the Week

Shelby Bradford (Jr, Lee, ME) was named Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week. Bradford averaged 21 points and 14.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in a 2-1 week for the Eagles. Bradford also shot 48% from the field (19-40) and made 25 of 28 from the foul line (89%) in her three games this week.
She collected 17 points and 9 rebounds in a six point loss to
UMF and then responded to lead her team to two victories over the
weekend. On Friday, she had 25 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists, and
4 steals against Green Mountain. On Saturday, she had 21 points, 16
rebounds, and 4 assists in a win over Castleton State College.
Bradford leads the North Atlantic Conference in rebounding with
11.3 per game and is second in scoring with 17.1 per game. She tops
the conference in field goal percentage at 50.9% and is tied for
third in steals at 2.36 per game.
Bradford was also recognized by New England Women’s
Basketball Association. She made the Honor Roll for the Player the
Week award.
