Shelby Bradford Name CoSIDA Academic All-American

Junior captain Shelby Bradford (Lee, ME) has been named Academic All-American st Team - District 1 College Division. CoSIDA selected Bradford to the team and the award is sponsored by ESPN The Magazine.
"The Academic All-American award is so highly coveted and well-deserved." Athletic Director Cindy Connelley states. "Shelby is a tremendous role model and represents the best of Husson University."
Bradford is a Occupational Therapy (MS) major and carries a 3.79 GPA. On the basketball court, she currently leads the Eagles in scoring (17.0 points), rebounding (11.7), steals (42), assists (37), and field goal (50.5%). Her 11.7 rebounds per game places her 20th in the country.
The Eagles sit atop the NAC with a 7-1 record (11-7 overall) and have won 5 straight and 8 out of their last 9.
"Shelby is a truly special individual. She is a gifted athlete, dedicated student, and a tremendous leader." Head Coach Kissy Walker states. "Shelby the most accomplished female athlete in the history of Husson University."

Shelby is married to Brock Bradford (Jr, Lee, ME) who is a member of the men's basketball team. Brock was also named to the Academic All-American 1st Team - District 1 College Division
In the fall, Bradford was named to the NSCAA/Adidas 4th Team All-Region team. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-American Committee recognizes four teams from the New England Region. The NEWISA (New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association) named Bradford All-New England 2nd Team.
