Hanscom Gains NEWBA and NAC Awards

Bree Hanscom (FY, Mattawamkeag, ME) was named New England Women's Basketball Association Rookie of the Week and NAC Player of the Week.  Hanscom paced the Eagles to a 2-0 week with the two wins.  The Eagles now sit atop the NAC standings at 8-1 (12-7 overall).  Husson has won 6 straight and 9 out of their last 10 games. 

Hanscom averaged 18.5 points and 8 rebounds while shooting 68.2% (15-22) from the floor last week.  The Eagles downed U. Maine Farmington 78-67 in a battle for first place in the NAC.   Hanscom poured in 20 points on 8-12 shooting and added 8 rebounds in the win. 

Hanscom is the Eagles second leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 10.3 points and 6.1 rebounds on the season.  She has been named NAC Rookie of the Week on four occasions (2/2, 1/26, 1/19, 10/17) and was named NAC Player of the Week for her play last week.  .
