Dugouts on O'Keefe Field Painted

The dugouts on the O'Keefe Softball Field received a fresh coat of paint this month. Dedicated in April 2005 the softball field is home to the 2009 NAC Softball Champions. Robert and Frances O'Keefe made the field possible with their generous donation.
The O'Keefe Softball Field is built to NCAA regulation as it measures 200 feet down the left and right field lines and 210 in center. The field has a grass outfield with a dirt infield, the playing area is completely fenced in and it has an excellent drainage system.
The O'Keefe Field hosted the 2008 and 2009 NAC Softball Championships as Head Coach Amanda Davey has led the Eagles to back to back regular season titles. This past season, the Eagles finished 26-16 and won the NAC Championship, advancing to the NCAA New England Regional.
Robert O'Keefe graduated from Husson in 1967 with a BS Business Administration. He had a long and successful career in sales beginning with Shell Oil Company in 1967 and then joining Angelica Corporation in 1979 until his retirement in 1995. He still works for Angelica on a part-time basis. Robert and his wife Frances were married in 1979 and have lived in Albany, NY since 1969.
