Softball Picked #1 in NAC Preseason Poll

Husson University was chosen as the league’s top team
entering the 2009 season in a preseason poll conducted with the
coaches. The Eagles return six starters from a team that went 17-3
in conference play and 30-12 overall. Husson received seven first
place votes and 63 points.
Maine-Farmington placed second in the poll with 51 points. The
Beavers return just three starters from a 24-9 squad and the young
squad will be led by sophomores Kasey McPhail in the outfield and
McKell Barnes behind the plate.

led by a host of seniors including centerfielder Jennifer Higgins,
an all-conference first team selection in 2008, and shortstop
