AMHERST, MA – NESCAC Player of the Year Spencer Noon ’13 (Farmington, Conn.) netted a pair of scores to tie the program record for career goals, helping Amherst to a 4-0 win over Husson University in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Hitchcock Field.

Husson Men's Soccer Team Draws Amherst in NCAA Tournament
Indianapolis, IN - The NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Committee announced the field of 61 teams for the 2011 Division III Championship, which begins Nov. 10 and concludes with the national championship Dec. 3. The Husson Eagles have drawn the #6 ranked Lord Jeffs of Amherst College for their opening round match up.

Wear Gray, Get Free Gear at NAC Men's Soccer Final
Bangor, ME - After the record crowd that came out for the "Show Up, Show Down" on Wednesday, and saw the Husson Men's Soccer team defeat rival Maine Maritime Academy 4-0 in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) semi-final, the Husson University Athletic Department will be wearing gray shirts to this Saturday's Conference Championship against Castleton State at 1:00 pm. The Sport Management Department and the Husson Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be giving out gray tee shirts and /or Husson Eagles scarfs to the first 200 students and student athletes who come out to support the home team.

"Show Up Show Down" for Men's Soccer Semifinal
The Husson University Sport Management Department is hosting a "Show Up Show Down" for this evening's Men's Soccer Semifinal against rival Maine Maritime Academy at 7:00 pm, under the lights at Boucher Field. Free Pizza and drinks will be served immediately prior to kickoff to the first 200 people. Along with the free food and drinks, the Sport Management Department is offering a $100 cash prize as well as a $50 second prize to the student organizations which are best represented at the game. Fraternities, Sorrorities and other student organizations are invited to attend, and register for their prize on the east side of the field behind the bleachers.

Bangor, ME - The Husson University men's soccer team scored four goals in the second half en route to a 4-0 victory under the lights, in front of a record crowd at Boucher Field. Philip Frost (Bangor, ME) led the Eagles with a pair of goals and an assist, while fellow first year player Brian Potter (Waterville, ME) made 5 saves to earn the shutout victory.

Bangor, ME - The #1 ranked Men's Soccer team held form this afternoon with a 4-2 victory over the visiting Hornets of Lyndon State to advance to the semifinal match of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) playoffs. With the loss, the Hornets finish their season with an overall record of 6-10-1.

Husson University earned the top seed in the upcoming North Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Championship. The Eagles (10-6-1 overall, 8-1 NAC) will take on eighth-seeded Lyndon State College (6-10-1 overall, 3-5-1 NAC) in a quarterfinal game on Saturday at 2 pm.

Eagles Forced to Cancel Final Game of Regular Season
Bangor, ME - The miraculous 2011 Men's Soccer regular season has officially come to an end, despite one game remaining on the schedule. Due to scheduling conflicts with their opponent, Husson University Athletic Director and assistant coach Bob Reasso has discussed the situation with the AD at Newbury College, and this year's contest has been officially canceled.

Husson Secures NAC Regular Season Title With Win at Colby-Sawyer
NEW LONDON, NH – The Husson men’s soccer team wrapped up the North Atlantic Conference’s (NAC) top seed for the upcoming postseason tournament after posting a 4-0 win at Colby-Sawyer on Saturday afternoon. Husson improves to 10-6-1 overall and sit atop the NAC standings at 8-1. Colby-Sawyer falls to 5-10-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the NAC.

Bangor, ME - The Husson University men's soccer team struck twice in the second half to complete the comeback against the University of Maine at Farmington 2-1 in North Atlantic Conference action tonight. With the win, the Eagles improve to 7-1 in the NAC (9-6-1 overall) and remain in 1st place in the conference, while UMF falls to 7-7 overall and 4-3 in conference play.

Husson Runners Up in CIAO Classic with 1-0 Win Over Host MCLA
North Adams, MA - The Union College men's soccer team captured the 2011 CIAO Classic title with an unblemished mark of 2-0. Husson University was named tournament runner-up following a 1-0 win over host MCLA. Union's Sebastiaan Jansen was named the offensive MVP, while Husson's Brian Potter earned defensive MVP honors.

Husson Men's Soccer Falls 2-0 to Curry in First Game of 2011
Portland, ME – The Husson University men’s soccer team dropped the first game of the 2011 season 2-0 against Curry College in a non-conference neutral site game played at Memorial Field in Portland. With the win, Curry opens their season 1-0 and Husson starts out 0-1 with the loss.

Husson Men's Soccer: "Experiential Learning"
If you were to look across the collegiate soccer scene in this country, you’d be hard pressed to find a more experienced staff than the group of coaches that will be roaming Husson’s Boucher Field this fall. Husson President Robert Clark often praises the benefits of ‘experiential learning’ and advocates for its use in the Husson University curriculum; well if it’s experience you want, the Men’s Soccer team has it in buckets. The coaches of the Eagles have combined for over 600 victories at the collegiate level.

Dawning of a New Era
Husson University is thrilled to announce upgrades to Boucher Field, the Eagles’ Soccer and Lacrosse complex. The upgrades are the result of generous donations from John P. Boucher (’66) a former standout on the Husson soccer team in his day and a current member of the Husson University Athletics Hall of Fame. Mr. Boucher once again provided a facelift to the field that bears his name; the upgrades include a state of the art press box and lighting system. The press box will provide a venue for television and radio broadcasts, print media coverage, public address announcers, statisticians and scoreboard operators. The addition of lights on Boucher Field will provide enhanced opportunities for athletic contests, now that Husson teams can compete at night, the marketing possibilities are on a much larger scale. Lights also provide expanded training possibilities resulting in less class conflicts and on-campus recreational events that affect the entire student community at Husson.

The 2011 soccer schedule presents a number of challenges for the upcoming season. With only seven home contests and nine away with two neutral, the Eagles will need to become road warriors by being successful away from Boucher Field.
