Bangor, ME - The Husson Eagles could not surmount an early Plymouth State Panther lead losing 1-2.  The Panthers notched both of their goals in the first half.  Semir Mehmedovic Sr., Zvornik, Bosnia) factored into both first half goals with a goal and an assist.  

Mehmedovic scored off a direct kick from the left side of the field shooting a laser past Husson keeper Miguel Dominguez (Jr., Rome, GA).  Three minutes later, the Panthers scored what would become the game winner off of another direct kick.  Mehmedovic shot on goal from just outside of the left corner of the eighteen yard box.  Husson's Dominguez made the initial save but could not hold on to the ball and Bjorn Ohlsson capitalized, (Fr., Halmstad, Sweden) burying the rebound in the back of the net. 

Eleven minutes into the second half, Mason Smith (Fy., Houma, LA) scored a header for the Eagles' only goal.    Mark Trombly (Sr., Burnham, ME) provided the assist dribbling the ball down to the endline and chipping it to Smith for the goal. 

Husson goalkeeper Miguel Dominguez recorded 9 saves and Plymouth State keeper, Bjorn Ohlsson, (Fr., Halmstad, Sweden) recorded 11 saves on the day.

Husson University returns to action on Friday, October 2 at Maine Maritime.  Game time is set for 7:30.
