Berry Scores Late to Steal the Win

Bangor, Maine - Berry College scored two late goals to defeat Husson University 3-2 at John Boucher Field. Berry scored two goals in the last 5 minutes to rally for the win. Mike Davis (So., Manchester, England) scored two goals to pace Berry.
Berry jumped out to an early lead when Mark Bloom (Sr., Marietta, GA) sent in a curling free kick to the back post where Davis headed the ball past the Husson keeper Miguel Dominguez (Jr., Rome, GA). Berry's early lead was short lived when Husson's Mark Trombley (Sr., Burnham, ME) equalized in the 32nd minute causing the teams to go into half time tied 1-1.
After the start of the second half, the Eagles Tyler Metevier (So., Kittery, ME) put Husson up 2-1 in the 47th minute. Husson held tough until Berry scored two late goals for the win.
Jorg Bergmann (Sr., Wurselen, Germany equalized late for the Vikings. The play began on a long throw in from Shane Moroney (Jr., Senoia, GA), the ball was flicked on to Bergmann who finished at the back post. Shortly after, in the 88th minute, Davis scored off of Bergmann's corner kick for the the winning goal.
Dominguez finished with 5 saves against 10 shots while Daniel Bullock (So., Lilburn, GA) recorded 3 saves.
With the win, Berry is now 3-1-2 while Husson falls to 2-4.
Husson travels to Bates College tomorrow September 20 (1:00 pm) while Berry next plays on Friday, September 25 against Montgomery College at 4:00 pm.
