Deaveu Leads Colby Men’s Lacrosse to Victory over Husson

Waterville, Maine - Ian Deveau had five goals and two assists and Chris Healy, one of the top defensemen in the NESCAC, added two goals as the Colby College men's lacrosse team took a 20-7 win over Husson University on Thursday night at Bill Alfond Field.

Greg McKillop added one goal and three assists, while Derrik Flahive had two goals and two assists for the Mules (7-6 overall). James Wyse and Alex Boches also had two goals apiece.

Mitch Heaps scored three goals and had one assist for Husson (6-9). Ben Landry finished with one goal and two assists and teammate Dillon Shaw had one goal and one assist.

Colby led 6-0 after the first period and 11-1 at halftime. The two teams combined for 11 goals in the third quarter.

Craig Bunker was 11-for-13 on face-off attempts and had six groundballs for the Mules. Bjorn Knutson finished with seven groundballs and was 3-for-3 on draws. Eric Eberhart also did well, winning nine of his 14 face-offs.
