Eagles Take Flight

The Husson University Men’s Lacrosse team took the field for the very first time on Sunday, February 8th against the University Of Maine-Orono in preseason action. The “scrimmage” was played at the Mahaney Dome, also known as the "Bubble", on the University of Maine’s Orono campus.

Having never played together, the Eagles struggled at the beginning of the contest.  "We were nervous"” said Coach Mattoon, "“it was a big deal for a lot of these guys to get out on the field, but once we settled down, I thought we did a lot of good things.”"

"I thought we played well, there were some real glimpses of what we can be, especially in the third quarter." ”added Mattoon.

The Eagles will take the field, again, versus the University of Maine-Orono on February 21st. The game will be the team’s first ever home event on Boucher Field. Start time is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
