Eagles End Day One of NCAA Tourny Tied for 30th
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Mike Hersey fired a one-over-par 73 to help Husson University to a share of thirtieth place after Tuesday’s first round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships at the Grandover Resort. Kevin Byrne and Matt Loubier ended day one shooting 79 apiece. The Eagles will resume their championship play on Wednesday.

Eagles Seize Second At Hampton Inn Spring Invitational
The Husson University men’s golf team finished second in a field of eighteen at the Hampton Inn Spring Invitational at the Allendale Country Club in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Chris Hamel (Waterville, ME) finished the round tied for first but lost in a four-way sudden death playoff to earn a second place finish.

Hersey Fires 75 as Husson Captures Rhode Island College Spring Invitational
Providence, RI- Michael Hersey (Presque Isle, ME) was the medalist with a score of 75 to lead the Husson University men's golf team to a first place finish (12 teams) at the Rhode Island College Spring Invitational played at Triggs Memorial Golf Course.

Eagles Top Team In New England
Brewster, Mass – Husson University led all NCAA Division III teams to win the New England Intercollegiate Golf Championship (NEIGA) on Sunday, October 19. The Eagles finished in sixth place overall out of 37 NCAA Division I, II and III institutions at The Captains Golf Course on Cape Cod. Husson’s Chris Hamel (Jr., Waterville, ME) tied for medalist in Division III.

Eagles in First Following Day One of NEIGA Championship
Following the first day of the New England Intercollegiate Association Golf Championship, the Husson Eagles occupy first place for Division III and sixth place overall. Husson's Chris Hamel is tied for tenth place, followed by Kevin Byrne in sixteenth.

Eagles Earn Bid to NCAA Golf Championship; Place Five on All-Conference Team
BANGOR, ME – Husson University’s golf team won their fifth straight North Atlantic Conference Championship this season, placing four players on the First Team All-NAC and one player on the Second Team. By winning the NAC champinship, the Eagles earned the right to compete in their fifth consecutive NCAA Golf Championship in the spring of 2011.

Husson Captures Fifth Consecutive 2010 NAC Golf Championship
Husson University recorded four top-six finishes en route to their fifth consecutive North Atlantic Conference golf championship Sunday afternoon at Neshobe Golf Course in Brandon, Vt. with a total team score of 585 (+9).

Brandon, VT - Husson's defending North Atlantic Champions are currently in first place following the first day of the NAC championship at the Neshobe Country Club. The Eagles currently lead by twelve, witth every Husson golfer breaking eighty in today's round.

Eagles Finish First; Hamel Earns Medalist Honors
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine Husson University junior Chris Hamel (Waterville, Maine) shot a two-round total 146 to earn individual medalist honors and lead the Eagles to a first place team finish at the 2010 USM Fall Classic hosted by the University of Southern Maine at Sable Oaks Golf Club in South Portland, Maine.

Hammel Earns Medalist Honors
Casco, ME - Husson University's Chris Hamel (Waterville, ME) earned medalist honors at the John Queenan Memorial Tournament at Point Sebago Golf Resort Tuesday. The Husson Eagles placed second, losing to the University of New England by one stroke with a 321 team card today. Prior to this afternoon, Husson had won five consecutive John Queenan Memorial titles.

Eagles Claim Tenth Straight UMF Invitational
FARMINGTON, Maine -- For the 10th straight year, Husson University won the UMF Invitational, hosted by the University of Maine at Farmington today at Sunday River Golf Club. This was the tightest victory for the Eagles during the decade span as Husson and Bowdoin College tied at 320, but a matching cards of the fifth player tiebreaker gave Husson the win. The Polar Bears placed second followed by Farmington (325), University of New England (329), St. Joseph's College (332), University of Southern Maine (339), Bates College (366) and Maine Maritime Academy (379).

Hersey Named NAC Athlete of the Week
Hussons Mike Hersey (Sr., Presque Isle, ME) earned medalist honors, shooting a 74 on both Saturday and Sunday. Herseys 148 gave him a two stroke lead ahead of second place finisher, Chris Hammel. Herseys finish helped the Eagles to a second place team finish. He was named North Atlantic Conference golf athlete of the week. Hersey is a working toward his BS in Accounting and MS in Business.

Brunswick, ME - The Husson University Eagles finished in second place following a championship tie-breaker against Williams in the Bowdoin Invitational at the Brunswick Country Club. Hussons Mike Hersey (Sr., Presque Isle, ME) earned medalist honors, shooting a 74 on Saturday and Sunday.

Eagles Take Team and Medalist Honors at Husson Invitational
Orono, ME- The Husson University Eagles shined through an overcast Husson University Invitational with a first place victory at the Penobscot Valley Country Club (PVCC). The Husson Eagles Gold team finished with a final score of 310, followed by the University of Maine at Farmington with a score of 323, and the University of Southern Maine followed, shooting 331. Husson University Green Team rounded up the group with a 369. After 18 holes, two Husson Eagles were tied for medalist at the 6,442 yard par 72 course. Chris Hamel (Jr., Waterville, ME) birdied the first hole of a sudden death playoff hole to receive the medalist honors.
