Men's Basketball Announce Recruiting Class
The mens basketball program is coming off a championship season and Head Coach Warren Caruso has announced his 2009 recruiting class. Eight student athletes have been accepted, paid a tuition deposit, and have verbally committed for next season.

Husson Host McDonald's All Star Game
Husson University will play host to the 21st McDonalds All-Star games. The games will be played at Newman Gym on Saturday, March 14th.

WPI Bounces Eagles from NCAA's
Worcester, MA --- Jerome Kirkland (Boston, MA) drained 13 of his game-high 15 points in the first half, leading WPI to a 86-57 victory over Husson in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday evening at Harrington Auditorium. The win moves the Engineers into the tournaments second round, where they will take on either Baruch or UMass Dartmouth on Saturday at 7pm.

Eagles to Face WPI in the NCAA's
The Eagles will travel to Worcester, MA and face WPI in the opening round of the NCAA III National Tournament. The game will be played on Friday, March 6th at 8:00 pm on the WPI campus.

Bradford and MacKenzie Named NAC 1st Team
Hussons Brock Bradford earned first-team accolades for the second consecutive season. The junior guard led the conference in assists (5.7 apg), was second in the conference in free-throw percentage (88.9%), three-point percentage (45.3%) and ranked fourth in steals (1.9 spg). Bradfords teammate junior Matt MacKenzie also received first-team all-conference honors. MacKenzie averaged 20.6 points while shooting 62.8% from the field. The duo led Husson to an 11-3 conference mark.

Men's Basketball Share NAC Regular Season Title and Earn #2 Seed
The top six teams qualify for the NAC Championship. The Terriers, who finished 11-3 in conference play (14-10 overall) and tied atop the NAC standings with in-state rival Husson (14-11 overall, 11-3 NAC), earns the top seed through predetermined tiebreakers. Thomas will host the NAC semifinals and finals next weekend beginning Friday, February 27. Husson will be the tournaments second seed. Both teams will receive a first round bye in the tournament.

Women's Basketball Win NAC Regular Season Title and #1 Seed
Husson University has claimed the top seed in the upcoming North Atlantic Conference Womens Basketball Tournament. Rallying from down 11 at half in the last game of the regular season, Husson (17-7 overall, 13-1 NAC) won their last 11 games to finish atop the NAC standings and earn the right to host the NAC semifinals and finals beginning next weekend, Friday, February 27. The top six teams qualify for the NAC Championship.

Husson Rolls Past Lyndon 95-74
Bangor, Maine The Eagles won for the 8th time in their last 9 outings with a 95-74 win over Lyndon State College in NAC play at Newman Gym. Matt MacKenzie registered a career high 28 points to lead Husson to the win. Husson honored their four seniors prior; Scott Kissinger (Islip Terrace), Nick Perras (Lancaster, NH), Fabian Figueroa (Bronx, NY), and Blaine Meehan (Winterport, ME), to the start of the game.

Bradford Scores his 1000th Career Point
Bangor, Maine Husson University rolled to an 87-62 win in a NAC match-up with Johnson State at Newman Gym. Brock Bradford (Jr, Kenduskeag, ME) became the 38th player in the programs history to score over a 1000 career points as the Eagles registered five players in double figures.

(January 31, 2009) Husson received 25 points and 10 rebounds from junior forward Matt MacKenzie (Warren, Maine) on Saturday en route to their 81-66 defeat of Johnson State College at Carter Gym. The visitors shot a toasty 54% from the field and outrebounded the Badgers 30-24 on the day to earn their fourth straight win and sixth in seven games to maintain sole possession of first place in the North Atlantic Conference.

41st Annual Paul Bunyan This Weekend
The Mens Basketball program is hosting the 41st annual Paul Bunyan Tournament this weekend. It has been two years since the tournament has been held. Bates College defeated Husson 81-68 in 2005.

Old Westbury Downs Husson
OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's basketball team wrapped up the Old Westbury Panther Classic with a victory over Husson University, 82-69 to claim third place and moves to 1-1 on the season while the loss drops the Eagles' record to 0-2 to start the year. Oswego State (4-0) rolled past Brooklyn College (2-1), 89-62 to claim the Championship.

Eagles Fall to Oswego State
Oswego State, which led 47-31 at half-time, was paced by four Lakers in double-figures. Tommy Downing poured in a game-high 20 points while Stanley Francois (19 points, 14 rebounds) and Chad Burridge (8 points, 16 rebounds) added a dominant showing to lead Oswego State to victory. Kyle Reuter scored 14 points and Jamal Lightbourne had 12 points on 10-12 shooting from the charity stripe to round out the scoring for the Lakers.
