Coach Flaherty arrived in 2009 ready for her first stint as a head coach. She enjoyed a very good high school and college career before beginning her coaching career.
Coach Flaherty is a graduate of Winslow High School and in her senior year (2001) was named Miss Maine Field Hockey (Player of the Year). She attended the U. of Maine Orono and was a part of the field hockey program for six years. Coach Flaherty was a three year captain and was served as a Graduate Assistant Coach in 2007.
Coach Flaherty graduated from U. Maine Orono with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education and earned a Master's of Science Degree in Exercise Science.
Since 2008 she has served as the coach of the Majestix Club
team. Last year, she was an assistant coach at Thomas College
in field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse.
Amanda Pullen joined the field hockey program in July of 2009. She will assist new Head Coach Katie Flaherty and on the defensive side of the field.
Coach Pullen played three years of field hockey at the U. Maine Farmington. She was a three year starter at U. Maine Farmington and a part of two championship teams (2004 and 2006). She played her first season of college field hockey at Colby College. Coach Pullen graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.
Graduating from Dexter High School in 2003 she was a key member
on three straight Class C Maine Field Hockey Championships 2000,
2001, 2002. She currently teaches 6th grade math at Searsport
District Middle/High School.
