Eagles Overtake Terriers 4-0

Bangor, ME - The Husson Eagles defeated the Thomas Terriers 4-0 at Husson's Winkin Complex. With the win the Eagles rise to 3-7 while the Terriers fall to 3-10.
Husson got on the scoreboard fifteen minutes into the first half when Kasja lBlindow (So., Morgan, VT) scored a goal off of a corner. Blindow's goal came in the form of a backhanded shot after a flurry in front of the Terrier cage. Ten minutes later, Husson's Helen Berry (Jr., Belfast, ME) scored from long range and was assisted by Caroline Bochtler (So., Turner, ME).
Less than a minute into the second half, Jenika Kelley (Sr., Livermore Falls, ME) notched the third Eagles goal of the day. Kelley powered through traffic in front of the Terrier cage and scored at close range. Husson's final goal of the day came when Emily Woodbury sprinted up the field and took a shot from the top of the circle that got past the Thomas goalkeeper. Blindow provided the assist on the Woodbury goal.
The Husson Eagles outshot the Thomas Terriers 27 to 16. Terrier goalkeeper Megan Denby (So., Copiague, NY) recorded 11 saves on the day.
Husson's next contest is away against Lasell on October 24 at 1:00 PM.
