Football Stays Sharp in Spring

The Husson University football team has been conducting spring practices in preparation for next season.  With a strong group of returning student-athletes and a dedicated staff, the Eagles look to lay the groundwork for a successful season for 2010 in the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference.

Head coach Niles Nelson approaches spring practices as “a time to build on goals for the fall season by working on fundamentals to get our system firmly in place so that we will be able to help first-year students get acclimated quicker. We are evaluating players as potential starters at all positions.”

Coach Nelson announced captains Chris Dalecki (Jr., Elliot, ME), Brad Deuring (Jr., Medway, MA), Kyle Romick (Jr., Chester, NH), Roderick Johnson (Sr., Bloomfield, CT), and Justin Linde (Sr., Winslow, ME) to lead the 2010 team. 

The Eagles will face Otterbein in their home and season opener on September 3 at Husson’s Winkin Complex.  Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM.
