Coach Harvey was named head coach in July 2008. He is one of the
most successful athletes to ever wear the Husson uniform. During
his athletic career at Husson, he was a standout on the baseball
diamond and basketball court as well as playing one year of golf.
During his baseball career at Husson, he played for legendary coach Dr. John Winkin. Coach Winkin has recorded over 1000 career wins. Coach Harvey was a two-year captain for Coach Winkin. A career .400 hitter and a .980 fielding percentage, Coach Harvey was a model of consistency on the field. He was named to the All Conference team each year while at Husson and was Conference Rookie of the Year in 2003. During his sophomore year, Coach Harvey spent one year at NCAA I U. Maine Orono. At UMO, he started every game at shortstop. He transferred back to Husson for his junior and senior seasons.
Coach Harvey had equal success on the basketball floor. He was a
two-year captain for the basketball program. Scoring 1215 points
(24th all time) and recording 355 assists (8th all time) in his
career. He shot 83% from the foul line for his career which is 2nd
on the All Time list. Coach Harvey helped the Eagles win a
conference championship during his freshman season and was named to
the NAC All-Conference each of his last two seasons.
Having used all his baseball eligibility Coach Harvey decided to play golf his senior year. He was the #4 golfer and the team won the NAC Championship and earned a trip to the NCAA III National Championship. Jason Harvey is one of the few Husson athletes ever to have lettered in three different sports.
A graduate of Bucksport High School, Jason earned a B.S.
Business Administration – Sports Management in 2006.
Currently, Coach Harvey works in the Admissions Office at Husson.
He is married to the former Kristin Pellitier. Kristin is a 2005
graduate of Husson, earning a M.S. – Physical Therapy.
She also played soccer for four years. The couple resided in
Bangor.
Coach Folsom joined the Eagles Coaching staff in January of 2008
after two years away from the program. He played four years at
Husson as a catcher and was a pivotal aspect in the Eagles' success
during his tenure. He then joined the coaching staff under Coach
John Winkin for a year. He loves the game of baseball and puts
everything he has into coaching and helping players succeed. Coach
Folsom is a valuable part of the coaching staff. He works with our
catchers primarily and helps with hitting as well. Coach Folsom
works for Wight’s Sporting Goods and runs the Portland
office. Coach Folsom resides in Glenburn with his wife Jennifer.
Coach Brideau joined the staff in January of 2008. He played
four years as an outfielder and pitcher at Husson. Coach Brideau
has great baseball knowledge and the program looks for him to
provide that knowledge to the players. Coach Brideau works with the
pitchers and handles the Eagles' conditioning. He also handles the
recruiting in Canada. Aaron works at Eastern Maine Medical Center
in the IT department. He brings great dedication and hard work to
the Eagles coaching staff. Coach Brideau resides in Milford with
his wife Courtney.
Coach Harvey joined the staff in July of 2008. Craig attended
Husson for a year and a half where he had one of the best
statistical years by a freshman. He is a former Maine Baseball
Player of the Year in 2000, has a tremendous baseball mind. Coach
Harvey spends most of his time with the Eagle hitters. He is
responsible for organizing camps and recruits in the local area.
Coach Harvey works at Weathervanes of Maine in Searsport. He
resides in Bangor with his fiancée Leah.
