Thibodeau Receives National Recognition from NCBWA
Dallas, TX - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) recognized Husson baseball's Pat Thibodeau (Caribou, ME) as an Honorable Mention Hitter in its weekly poll of the NCAA Division III National Players of the Week. He joins eight other players from across the nation on this list.
Thibodeau, who is the reigning North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week and Husson Male Athlete of the Week, had a fantastic week for the Eagles last week, as he helped lead the Eagles to a 5-2 week heading into the final week of regular season play.
Thibodeau batted .517 (15-29), while posting an impressive .545 on base percentage and a .533 slugging percentage to lead Husson. The junior outfielder scored 12 runs and drove in five more to lead the way at the top of the Eagles' lineup. Thibodeau was also a perfect 11-for-11 in stolen base attempts, and did his part from the mound, pitching five innings in a win over Lyndon.
He ranks first in the conference in hits (50) and runs (32), while ranking second in triples (4) and total bases (62).
