Tailgate With The Eagles

The Athletic Department and the Alumni Affairs Office at Husson University will kick off their fall athletic season with an “Indoor Tailgate Party” on Thursday, August 27, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The public and the media are invited to join the coaches, team captains, and the Eagles mascot at The Darling Atrium in the William H. Beardsley Meeting House for conversation and good food.

The fall sports at Husson are Field Hockey, Football, Golf, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, and Volleyball. There are nearly 200 student-athletes involved with over 120 of them coming from the State of Maine. Last year Women’s Soccer and Golf advanced to the NCAA III National Tournament while Football hosted an ECAC Bowl game. Men’s Soccer and Volleyball both won regular season NAC titles while Field Hockey lost in the NAC Semi-Finals.

“This reception will be a great opportunity for the public to meet our coaches and captains” said Director of Athletics Cindy Connelley. “With a special group of student athletes on campus, we are looking to build on the academic and athletic success of last year’s programs.”
