Thirteen Eagles Named to Fall NAC All-Academic Team

Bangor, ME – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) named thirteen Eagles to the NAC Fall All-Academic Team, recognizing the academic and athletic accomplishments of Husson’s student-athletes. To be honored with a selection to the NAC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, junior or senior standing, and at least two years of sport participation. Bri Hanscom Named to NEWBA Honor Roll

Brianna Hanscom (So, F, Mattawamkeag, ME) was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) honor roll for her contributions on the court last week. Hanscom helped the Eagles extend their win streak to nine games with a pair of victories over NAC foes Thomas and U. Maine Farmington. The forward recorded 23.1 points, 9.0 rebonds and 3.5 assists per contest. After netting 18 points in a 86-70 triumph over the University of Maine Farmington on Tuesday, she exploded for 29 more in a 104-54 win over Thomas College on Saturday. Terriers Too Much For Eagles

Bangor, ME – Husson University dropped a 69-88 conference game to the Thomas Terriers. With the loss, the Eagles fall to 12-8 overall and 6-3 in the conference. The Terriers improve to 14-5 and 6-4 in the conference. [READ MORE]

Husson Handles Thomas

Bangor, ME – The Husson Eagles dominated the Thomas Terriers in a 104-54 victory at Newman Gymnasium. With the win, the Eagles extend their undefeated North Atlantic Conference (NAC) winning streak to 9-0 and 12-8 on the season. Eagles Swim Past St. Joseph's, Lose to Elms

CHICOPEE, Mass. –Husson (1-6) earned a close 64-58 victory over St. Joseph (0-8) in the final matchup of the double dual meet. Elms earned a 77-45 victory over St. Joseph and a 78-44 decision over Husson to improve to 9-5 on the season. Elms College swept Husson University and St. Joseph’s College in Saturday morning’s women’s double dual meet at Partyka Natatorium. [READ MORE]

Eagles in the Community

Husson University’s men’s basketball team participated in Fruit Street Elementary School’s “Winter Olympics.” Student-athletes Marc Zarharchuk (Fy., Richmond, ME) Wes Murphy (Fy., Norwich, CT), Josh Jones (So., Jefferson, ME) , and Brad Libby (So., Brewer, ME) along with head coach Warren Caruso spoke to the students about the spirit of the Olympics, sportsmanship, and participation. Bri Hanscom Named Female Athlete of the Week


Bri Hanscom contributed 29 points and 9 rebounds while shooting 13-17 in Husson’s 104-54 victory over Thomas College. Against Maine Farmington, Hanscom tallied 18 points and 9 rebounds. On the week, Hanscom shot 59.3% from the floor and averaged 23.5 points per game.

Josh Jones Named Male Athlete of the Week


Josh Jones paced the Eagles with two double-doubles in two North Atlantic Conference games. Against U. Maine Farmington, Jones tallied 22 points and 13 rebounds while shooting 8-18 and 8-9 from the free-throw line. Jones collected 16 points and 14 rebounds in Husson’s loss to Thomas College.
