Nicky Sargent Female Athlete of the Week

Nicky Sargent sophomore from Sullivan, Maine is this week's Female Athlete of the Week. Sargent led the Eagles to their first ever conference championship and a trip to the NCAA's. She was named Most Valuable Player in this weekend's NAC Softball Championship.

Sargent contributed on the mound and at the plate.  She went 4-10 at the plate including 2 HRs, 7 RBIs, and 3 runs.  Sargent's two run homerun in the top of the 7th broke a 4-4 tie against U. Maine Farmington, propelling Husson to the critical 6-4 win. 

On the mound, Sargent hurled 12.1 innings.  She factored in all three games earning two wins and coming on to pitch the final inning of the 6-4 victory over U. Maine Farmington for the save.  She only allowed 3 earned runs while striking out 6 and walking only 2.
